Indie trail blazers Cassia return to Dublin with a headline show at Whelan's for 2021 as part of the Don’t Make A Scene Tour.

It’s hard not to smile when Cassia are in the room – their infectious personalities glow just as much as their infectious, summer-worthy sound which, as Clash said, transforms even the dreariest of days into a feel-good carnival.

Cassia’s sound is one quickly chiming with audiences. Their vibrant live shows have proven a joy with fans, something that resulted in them earning a nomination for Best Live Act at the Association of Independent Music Awards alongside Idles and DMA’s.

They released their debut album Replica in April 2019 and continued to tour with it for the remainder of the year. One of their most popular songs, 100 Times Over, has since received over three million Spotify streams – impressive for a song that was originally written when Rob was just 17-years-old, in his school music studio.

Renowned by some of the biggest names in the business, Cassia have an ever-growing fanbase of industry heavyweights and are regularly supported on the likes of BBC Radio 1, Radio X, BBC Introducing and many more. Not to mention The Independent, Gigwise and Skiddle offering kind words, as well as Annie Mac inviting them to perform at Maida Vale as part of her Future Sounds section.

Speaking about the band in 2019, Rob Adcock from BBC Introducing described Cassia as one of the most exciting bands to come out of Manchester in years. With their confident combination of carefree lyricism, joyful melodies and infectious riffs, it seems as though Cassia were destined for big things from the get-go and have been progressing phenomenally since.

Kickstarting their 2020 with the aspirations of a brand-new era, Cassia released Do Right,a real statement of intent that showcased some of their most unique and interesting work to date. In fact, Annie Mac said its so divine - absolutely love it. Do Righthas already totted up over one million streams too, as the trio start the decade with a relentless release schedule. Moving into summer 2020, Cassia released another melodic masterpiece of a record, single #2 of the year is ‘Drifting.’
