Award Winning Producer and Artist, Chris Kabs, is an influential Award Winning Dublin-based Producer and Artist. Kabs has produced local and international artists such as Tolü Makay, Hudis, JyellowL and the late and great Coolio. His musical works have featured on FIFA’s soundtrack on the TV series ‘Normal People’ just to name a few.

Hailed as one of Irelands most promising rising Afro beats and hip hop artists, he has gained the credibility and recognition necessary to become a regular performer on shows like Hard Working Class Heroes, has appeared along with other talented artists at Longitude, the legendary Dublin venue Whelans, RTE Live, and also had his own headline show at the SoundHouse, the Grand Social and Cyprus Avenue. As a result of his dedication, creativity, and fearless imagination for the individual sound, he has developed both his vocal and production style to create such unique and beautiful music through the development of his time, creativity, and imagination. His energetic and vibrant live show has been called an almost spiritual experience.

2023 sees a new chapter for Kabs as his focus is put on his own artistry and solo career, with new music and singles dropping in early 2023 exclusively via Rough Bones in the UK, ahead of his eagerly anticipated Ep in April.

The Irish hip hop act to watch in 2023 is Loud Motive, who speak their truths and mirror them in their music. Their sound blends seductive guitar melodies and intricate wordplay with hip-hop sensibilities. The result is a vibrant, mainstream musical landscape. Sometimes the band's experimental sound combines the poignant essence of grunge rock with afro beats and twists, bringing us into a world juxtaposed with socioeconomically and politically charged lyrics.

Following knockout performances at Electric Picnic, The Button Factory, The Academy, Castlepalooza, HWCH & selling out shows in legendary Dublin Venues Whelans, The Workmans, The Sound House and The Sugar Club – Loud Motive are excited to bring their powerhouse live show to Academy Dublin.
