Evans Junior is Irish based artist with Nigerian roots. Evans Junior is a star just waiting to blow. Every song that Evans releases is written by him and his lyrics are fantastic whether he is telling you a story or even just getting you into the dancing mood.
Evans does not have a specific genre but whatever genre he does decide to tackle always turns out more than amazing. There is no doubt that Evans Junior will be a name seen on different charts for different genres while winning awards worldwide with the right recourses behind him.
The genres that Evans focuses on are Trap, Trap - Rnb, Hip-hop, Afrobeats and Afroswing.
Evans started singing at the age of 10 and started writing music at the age of 14. Overtime Evans has perfected his craft in writing songs and there is no doubt about that.
Evans’ main influences are Justin Bieber, Wizkid, Fella Kuti, Lil-Pump, Migos, 2Face, Daddy Showkey, Daniel Ceaser and Pnb Rock, Trippie Redd, Juice Wrld just to name a few.
Evans has a great ear for music and he knows exactly how to stay relevant as he has been relevant in Ireland for 4 years now by building a steady and supportive fan base online by releasing music to his listeners.
At the young age of 20, Evans Junior has done a lot of impressive things in his career already. Has released 2 projects (4you! and Organised Mess), supportEd many international acts and performed at big festivals such as Longitude and Electric Pinic.
Organised Mess Album
The title creates an expectation that on the surface there lacks formulation but the subsequent peeling back of layers uncovers underlying cohesion. This expectation is met to an extent however the ambitious attempt to blend contrasting sounds into one ‘Organised Mess’ proves difficult to execute.
Bringing International acts from Uk, Nigeria and The USA was a way of showing Evans’s diversity at a high level. Evans’s music is sonically pleasing.
‘Organised Mess’ is a deliberate attempt to encompass Evans Junior’s wide array of sonic inspirations and tastes. However, in his endeavours to bind together these various styles he drowns in his influences. Within a month the album has hit just above a million streams across all platforms.
Overall, this album is a definitive moment for Irish hip-hop and the culture. You will be hard pressed to find a body of work as diverse that covers as much ground as Evans does here. His almost chameleon like ability to blend into any track, with any artist whilst making it cohesive and coherent is unmatched. His songwriting ability is showcased immaculately along with his vision to conceptualise and curate a project of such depth into a digestible listen should be admired. An absolute must listen that will not be forgotten any time soon.
Young sensation Evans Junior began writing songs at 14. His music straddles trap, hip hop, R&B, Afrobeat, Afro-swing and good old fashioned pop. Based in Longford, his performance at Longitude 2018 was superb, and fans of Migos, Lil Pump and Justin Bieber will adore his ice cool sound
