Following a completely sold-out February tour and packed summer of festival shows across the UK and Ireland, Fatherson have announced a string of headline dates across the UK and Ireland to end the year with a Dublin date ion the Sound House on November 15th.
November tour dates:
Tue 5 - Newcastle, Cluny
Wed 6 - Leeds, Brudenell (Community Room)
Thu 7 - Manchester, Night & Day
Fri 8 - Birmingham, Castle & Falcon
Sun 10 - Nottingham, Bodega
Thu 14 - Belfast, Voodoo
Fri 15 - Dublin, Soundhouse
The band will also headline Glasgow’s Tenement Trail festival on Sat 12 October, and are set to play Swn festival, Cardiff on 18 October and Wild Paths, Norwich on 19 October. The tour comes as their third album ‘Sum of All Your Parts’ was announced as one of 20 records longlisted for the Scottish Album of the Year alongside titles from Chvrches, Twilight Sad and C Duncan.
‘Sum of All Your Parts' cemented Fatherson as one of Britain's next breakthrough guitar bands. Undoubtedly their most assured record to date, the album was praised across the board; “melodic rock that’s good for the mind, body and soul.", “pretension-free, thinking man's crunch-pop", "songs for all moods & seasons”.
The album has seen the band sell-out their biggest UK headline shows to date (including 2,400 capacity Glasgow Academy, London’s Scala and two nights at Omeara), play support shows with Biffy Clyro, Amber Run and Futureheads and festivals including TRNSMT, Isle of Wight, Truck, Barn on the Farm, Victorious and Edinburgh Summer Sessions.
