Electronic quartet and trip-hop purveyors HÆLOS are premiering their stunning short film and documentary ‘ARK’ today at 5pm on Youtube and will be answering questions from the audience in a live Q&A about the film. The band have also released their double-A side release ‘Deep State / Empty Skies’ today.
Filmed on the road and produced by esteemed filmmaker and director, William Markarian-Martin, ‘ARK’ follows the band, Lotti Benardout, Arthur Delaney, Dom Goldsmith and Arizona’s Daniel Vilodósola, on their biggest tour of the states to date.
A visual accompaniment to the rich textures and soaring soundscapes explored in ‘Deep State / Empty Skies’, the documentary is a cinematic exploration of themes of love, egoism vs altruism and the core essence of humanity. The ‘ARK’ pictures an ideological vessel and embodiment of community in its truest form and it’s this core belief system which inspired the 11 track sophomore album, ‘Any Random Kindness’.
The band continue on their ‘Any Random Kindness’ tour this autumn heading to cities across Europe and the UK, finishing with the band’s biggest headline show yet in their home city at Brixton’s Electric.
