lovelytheband ANNOUNCES EUROPEAN HEADLINING
“finding it hard to smile” TOUR
KICKING OFF NOVEMBER 8, 2019 IN DUBLIN
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 1, 2019) — Platinum-selling, Alt-pop trio, lovelytheband announced today their European headline tour entitled “finding it hard to smile.” Fresh off the heels of their first North American headlining tour of the same name, lovelytheband will be kicking off their European leg on November 8th in Dublin, with stops in major cities including Manchester, London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Stockholm. The UK/EU dates bring the band back to Europe after supporting 5 Seconds Of Summer on their “Meet You There Tour” last summer and most recently wrapped up supporting indie-pop band, LANY for their February/March 2019 European run.
Mitchy Collins said, “We fell in love with touring Europe as a support act, and now we couldn't be more excited to bring them a proper headline show.”
lovelytheband solidified their place in Alt. music history when they broke Billboard’s Alternative Songs Longevity Record with their breakout hit “broken.” The track has spent a total of 75 weeks on the Alternative Songs Chart, 9 weeks at No. 1, and has amassed over 231million streams worldwide. They won a 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards for “Best New Alt. Rock Artist” and landed two 2019 Billboard Music Award nominations for “Top Rock Artist” and “Top Rock Song.” Most recently, the band released the music video for their current single “maybe, i’m afraid,” which is currently #19 on the Alternative Songs Chart. The video tells a beautiful coming of age story about a man who spends his entire life struggling with self-acceptance—Click HERE to watch. The trio is currently on their North American tour with support from Flora Cash and Jagwar Twins. In addition, they performed on American Idol’s All-Star Duets episode, and most recently at Coachella with Dillon Francis.

About lovelytheband
Alt-pop band lovelytheband translate emotions, anxieties, and feelings into lush, layered, and lively indie pop anthems. When the band was founded by lead singer Mitchy Collins, guitarist Jordan Greenwald and drummer Sam Price in 2017, the trio maintain a lasting connection to listeners by holding nothing back. A centerpiece of the band’s debut EP everything I could never say…, the group’s debut single “broken” caught fire. BuzzFeed summed it up as “So. Damn. Good.” Billboard proclaimed the group among “10 Rock & Alternative Artists to Watch in 2018” as they supported Vance Joy, AWOLNATION and 5 Seconds of Summer on tour between headlining dates everywhere. Everything paved the way for the arrival of the band’s first full-length, finding it hard to smile [RED MUSIC]. Produced by “broken” collaborator Christian Medice, mixed, and mastered by Charlie Park, these 16 tracks entrance, engage, and enchant, offsetting shimmering keys, sweeping synths, and spacey guitars with cathartic, compelling, and catchy choruses. The title speaks directly to its thematic push-and-pull. lovelytheband’s voice will only get dramatically louder and it might just make crowds feel better too in 2019.
