The new album Olympus Sleeping – listen here

“Superb” 8/10 – Hot Press
“It sounds like classic Razorlight” – The Independent
“A must-buy” – Classic Rock
“Crisp, energetic and at moments rather jolly” – Metro

RAZORLIGHT is delighted to announce live shows in Ireland for 2019.  The announcement was a little extra special with  Johnny was in town when announced and thrilled to be able to talk about the shows while in Dublin. The ‘indie-rock’ royalty will play Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on Tuesday, February 19 and Belfast’s Limelight on Wednesday February 20.  Tickets on sale now.
Indeed, Razorlight released its first album in ten years last month.  Olympus Sleeping has been complimented by many, and with foundation.  Together with some very kind words and airplay, including Chris Evans and many others in the UK, Hot Press scored the record 8/10 siting Olympus Sleeping as a “Superb comeback from Johnny Borrell and Co”.  You can listen to the album here.

Featuring the previously released tracks ‘Got To Let The Good Times..,’ ‘Japanrock,’ ‘Sorry?’ and ‘Olympus Sleeping’ plus the new single ‘Carry Yourself,’ Olympus Sleeping, the album is a true return-to-form for one of the UK’s most successful indie bands of the past 15 years.

For Olympus Sleeping, Johnny worked closely with guitarist David Ellis, and the band were joined on drums by Martin Chambers of The Pretenders. The album is everything we always loved about Razorlight – the electric energy of the first album, the pop-rock craftsmanship of the second and the lyrical ambition of the third.

The band’s UK tour for this December is sold out, so all eyes are now set on Ireland for February, tickets are not expected to last too long either.
