Which entrance do I take to enter the venue?

Pedestrians will only be permitted into the grounds of Malahide castle via Hogan’s Gate (Near DART station). Pedestrians will not be permitted entrance through any other park gate. Vehicle access is via Back Road Entrance only. Please note car paking on site is limited. There will be security / Gardaí outside the venue on the day of the event to assist with any queries regarding entry to the venue.

DART (train) to Malahide

The closest Dart stop to the concert venue is Malahide Train Station. City centre Dart locations include Grand Canal Dock, Pearse, Tara Street and Connolly Stations. The concert entrance is approx. a 15-minute walk from Malahide Train Station. You can find more information including times and fares at www.irishrail.ie and National Journey Planner.

Marathon City Centre Concert Bus

There will be a direct bus service to Customs Quay following each event from the Dublin Road. Please follow signage from the concert grounds and directions from stewards. Tickets can be purchased online in advance for €13 and following the concert for €15. We advise purchasing in advance as it will be on a first come first served basis. Tickets will be available to purchase from Marathon Coach Travel.

Is there car parking at the venue?

PLEASE NOTE THAT CAR PARKING AT THE VENUE IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. THE PROMOTER STRONGLY ADVISES USING PUBLIC TRANSPORT. CAR PARKS OPEN 1 HOUR BEFORE THE GATES OPENING TIME ON YOUR TICKET. VEHICLES WILL ONLY BE PERMITTED THROUGH THE BACK ROAD ENTRANCE.

Fingal County Council will be providing car parking at the Malahide Castle Concerts via the Back Road. We advise that you purchase your parking ticket in advance of the event. Online Early bird tickets cost €11 or €16 online before midday of each show. Parking tickets will cost €20 on the day without a pre-booking. Plan your approach to Malahide Castle based on the following:
• Car parking at Malahide Castle is limited and traffic and parking delays are inevitable – you are strongly advised to use public transport or carpool. There may be delays leaving the car park following the event
• We strongly recommend you plan your journey in advance allowing plenty of travel time to and from the venue.
• Plan your route in advance and check the AA Roadwatch website for reports on traffic, road works, delays etc. on your route.

RECOMMENDED ROUTES
Via M50 – From Dublin City Centre, West and South of Ireland
Exit the M50 at Junction 3 (signposted M1 Belfast / Airport), continuing onto the R139. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit, continuing on the R139 for 2.6km. Turn left onto Malahide Road / R107. Continue straight for 4.2km then take a right onto Back Road. Follow signs for car parks which will be on your left.

Via M1 – From the North of Ireland
Exit M1 at Junction 4 (signposted R132 Swords / Malahide / Donabate). Keep right, merging onto R132. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit, keeping on the R132. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit, staying on R132. Take a slight left, merging onto Swords Rd / R106 and continue for 2.9km. Turn right onto Dublin Rd / R107, continue straight for 700m and then turn left onto Back Road. Follow signs for car parks which will be on your left.

I'm attending on a private coach / mini bus. Where can the driver drop / collect me?

There will be coach/bus and minibus parking available within the grounds of Malahide Castle, access is via Back Road. Do not drop off outside of the venue. It is very important to us that you notify and register with us in advance, to do so please email enquiries@festivalrepublic.com with the following information:

Can I queue early at the venue?

Early/ Overnight Queuing is STRICTLY not permitted at the venue and will not be facilitated. Concert goers who do turn up prior to gates opening will be turned away.

How do I purchase tickets for an MCD event?

MCD Productions do not sell tickets. Unless otherwise specified, Ticketmaster are our official Ticketing Agent for all shows. Please consult their website (Ticketmaster.ie) for all ticketing queries: 

We endeavour all customers to purchase tickets for all shows through our Ticketing Agent, Ticketmaster. MCD Productions do not deal with third party resellers, and cannot assist with any queries relating to such.

Stage Times:
Stage Times, where available, will be displayed on MCD Social Media in advance of the show. Stage Times relating to larger Outdoor Shows, will be released in the Public Information Notice in the days leading up to the show.

Any queries sent to MCD Productions relating to Stage Times will not be responded to. Please be advised that Stage Times are always subject to change.

Will I be able to purchase food and drink at the concert?

Yes, there will be a wide range of food and beverages available to buy including vegan / coeliac food options.
Please note: Alcohol will only be available to purchase for adults aged 18 and over, you will be required to provide photo id as proof of age.

Can I purchase official merchandise at the concert?

Yes, there will be official merchandise outlets located inside the venue. We would advise against purchasing any unofficial merchandise outside the venue.

Can I bring my own food/drinks into the venue?

Yes, customers can bring snacks or food in for personal consumption. There will also be a wide variety of food available to purchase, catering to most dietary requirements, for example, vegan and gluten-free options.

How will I get up to date information in the days leading up to the concert?

Ticketmaster will contact ticket holders by email (if they have contact details) with concert information prior to the event. You can also get up to date information from the following websites:

What size bag is permitted at this concert?

Backpacks and large bags will not be allowed, only small bags measuring no bigger than A4 (8.27in/21cm × 11.7/ 29.7cm) will be permitted into the event. Bags must not be left at entrances or surrounding areas. Any items left will be removed and disposed of accordingly.

Is there a cloackroom or storage facilities on site?

There will be no cloakroom or storage facilities. Bags must not be left at entrances or surrounding areas. Any items left will be removed and disposed of accordingly.

Will I be searched on entry?

You will also be searched at the entrance to the event which may include a full body pat down and/or use of hand held metal detectors. Any item(s), which may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon, or which may cause danger or disruption to any other persons at the event, will be confiscated.
Please allow plenty of time to get into the event, and for concert entry procedures, ticket checks and searches.

Persons suspected of carrying items that may be used in an offensive or dangerous manner, or carrying out illegal activities within the arena or other parts of the site may be searched.

Will my child be safe on his/her own?

All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult who will be in attendance at the event(s) and also holds a valid ticket for the event.

How many children under 16 can I accompany?

One adult can accompany up to 4 children, however this is a matter you should pay careful attention to, depending on the age and needs of the children involved.

Can I bring my baby/toddler to this event?

The Promoter deems that large concerts are not suitable environments for all small children under 5 years old. This being so, we have no measures in place to facilitate babies or small children on site. It is important to note that high noise levels can damage your child’s hearing.

Should you still choose to bring young children or babies please note you will need to use a wearable baby carrier and appropriate ear defenders. You may be requested to sign a consent form before entering the venue. Everyone entering the stadium regardless of age requires a ticket.

Where are the first aid areas located?

There will be First Aid areas located inside the venue. These will be clearly signposted and all stewards will be able to direct patrons to the nearest medical staff. If you need First Aid, please approach a steward who will direct you to the nearest first aid / medic point.

What if I or one of my friends feels unwell or has an accident?

There will be first aid points on site as well as trained medical staff on site. Please approach a first aid point or a steward who will direct you to the nearest first aid / medic point.

What can I do if I become separated from my friends or family at the event?

Please speak to your nearest Steward who will assist you and point you in the right direction or go to the First Aid Point.

Where can I get information on transport to the venue?

The Promoter is not licensed to, nor do they operate any transport to any event. Transport to and from the venue is a matter for individual ticket-holders to organise.
We strongly urge all concert goers to heed the advice of An Garda Síochána, transport providers and promoters regarding the pre-planning and advance booking of their return trip to and from venue.

All event goers are encouraged to use public transport.

Liquids – No liquids are permitted other than sealed water less than 500ml (caps will be removed)
