#MCDBehindTheLens Vol. 10 – Aaron Corr

“I’m a Dublin based part-time photographer originally from county Clare. I’ve been an avid gig-goer since I was 15.  The nearer I got to the stage, the more I wanted to capture a performance for the long term, which is how I started to take photos at shows.”

“From borrowing my family’s film camera, to getting my first digital camera, I continued to learn how to take better pictures. Once I moved to Dublin I immediately integrated into the music community through Irish music websites, and started to gain access to photo pits. I go from shooting tiny shows in near darkness, to Arena and outdoor shows with lots of big stage lights and visuals and back again. One goal of mine I set out to do was to try and photograph all my favourite bands, which has been working out nicely. These include Interpol, Arcade Fire and Pixies to name but a few.”
