Hozier has today also landed his first ever UK Number 1 single with “Too Sweet”. This achievement follows Hozier scoring his first ever #1 album in the UK Charts last August with his third studio album Unreal Unearth.

Hozier plays a sold-out show at Dublin’s Marlay Park on Friday, July 5th with special guests Lord Huron and Brittany Howard

Hozier has today landed his first ever Irish number 1 in the Irish Singles Chart with his International smash “Too Sweet”, taken from his latest EP release Unheard. This is the first #1 single for the Irish Musician and tops his previous chart peak of #2 for debut single “Take Me To Church” in 2014. With over 1.3 Million Irish streams to date on Too Sweet, it has now also been certified PLATINUM in Ireland.

In a message to his Irish fans, Hozier says “Thank you so so much for this Irish #1. It's very unexpected and I'm thrilled and honored. Thank you for all the support. I'm so glad you're enjoying the song, it's a joy. I hope to see you soon. Thank you so much."

The Irish Singles Chart #1 follows global domination across the Spotify Charts where Too Sweet hit #1 on the Irish, US, UK, Australian, Canadian and New Zealand Spotify Top 50 Charts and is currently sitting at #2 on the Global Spotify Top 50 Chart.

In the US Billboard Charts, Too Sweet debuted at #5 in the Billboard Hot 100 Chart – Hozier’s first Top 10 debut. It has since climbed to #4 in the charts.

The Unheard EP contains four brand new songs, originally recorded during the sessions for latest chart-topping album Unreal Unearth. These include 'Too Sweet’, 'Empire Now', 'Fare Well', and 'Wildflower and Barley’ featuring Canadian Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and activist, Allison Russell. Speaking on the new tracks, Hozier says: “These are songs that might’ve made it to the circles of gluttony, limbo, violence and the outward ‘ascent’ respectively but could not for different reasons. I’m very glad I’ll get to share them with you.”

In August last year Hozier scored his third consecutive Irish #1 and his first ever UK number 1 with that very third studio album Unreal Unearth. The Irish superstar has cemented himself as one of the greatest songwriters in his field with a record that spawned world class tracks in “Eat Your Young,” “All Things End,” “Francesca” & “De Selby (Part 2)”. He outsold the entire UK Top 5 combined in release week and also scored his first ever number 1 album in the Netherlands and top 5 spots in the USA and Germany.

This summer will see Hozier perform outdoor shows, including a sold out headline show at Dublin’s Marlay Park on July 5th with special guests Lord Huron and Brittany Howard, plus a sold out date at London’s 45,000 capacity Finsbury Park on July 7th - which will be his biggest UK headline show to date. This follows what was an incredible 2023 on the live circuit which included a triumphant surprise set at Glastonbury, an acclaimed sold-out show at Dublin’s Malahide Castle, and over a million tickets sold worldwide for his sold-out headline tour, which saw him conquer arenas including x3 shows at Dublin’s 3Arena.
