Fresh from the announcement of their upcoming 7th album Time Stopped and ahead of what’s certain to be a main stage highlight at this Weekend’s Electric Picnic, The Coronas have added an extra Dublin date at 3Olympia Theatre on Wednesday 14th December as part of their True Love Waited Tour.

Since the release of 2020’s True Love Waits, which reached number 1 in the Irish album charts, the Coronas haven’t wasted much time. The Dublin 3-piece wrote and recorded a brand new album while also enjoying countless gigs since live music returned earlier this year. If new singles ‘Strive’, ‘Write Our Own Soundtrack’ and the forthcoming ‘If You Let Me’ are an indication of what’s to come on Time Stopped, then the album will be a worthy follow-up to the critically acclaimed True Love Waits.

Produced by long-time collaborator George Murphy (Mumford & Sons, The Specials, Ellie Goulding) and mixed by Grammy award-winning Peter Katis (The National), sonically the album ranges from joyous to intimate, with snapshots of subtlety that complement moments of the Coronas at their radio-friendly, foot-tapping best. Prior to the release of Time Stopped in the Autumn, the band will embark on a 25 date European, North American and Australian world tour. The tour culminates in a 4 night run at the Olympia Theatre with the final show expected to be the band’s 60th consecutive sell-out show at the prestigious Dublin venue.
