THE WATERFRONT HALL, BELFAST: Monday 27 May

BBC Northern Ireland School Choir of the year winners, Ebrington Primary School, to join Britain’s best-selling classical artist Katherine Jenkins LIVE at the Waterfront Hall

Britain’s best-selling classical artist of the last 25 years, Katherine Jenkins has invited BBC Northern Ireland School Choir of the Year winners, Ebrington Primary School, to join her LIVE at the Waterfront Hall on Monday 27th May.

“Having been a school teacher myself, it always brings such joy to my heart to see young children enthusiastic about singing.  I have been aware of Ebrington Primary School’s talented choir since they won the BBC Northern Ireland School Choir of the Year and I’m thrilled that they have agreed to share their voices with my audience in my Belfast concert.” Katherine Jenkins.

Choirmaster, Rachel Stone, says: ‘When our name was called as BBC Northern Ireland School Choir of the Year 2019, we all burst with excitement and pride. The children have been smiling from ear to ear ever since. We have been congratulated by so many amazing people and the Mayor of our city hosted a Civic Reception to celebrate our amazing success. To be asked to sing with Katherine Jenkins is most definitely the cherry on top! I asked the children how they feel about performing with such a successful and talented singer and they responded with ‘This is truly a dream come true for all of us!

Thank you for giving us this amazing experience – Katherine will now be part of our #TeamEbrington’
