Jarlath Is Breaking America
In April Jarlath sold out a vast tour of North America which included dates in San Francisco, LA, Portland, Seattle, Washington DC, Toronto, Vancouver Boston and five shows at the legendary Gramercy Theatre off Broadway in New York. All off the back of his beloved online standup clips and Irish mother parody sketches that have taken the internet by storm. His new show will head back to the States, mainland Europe and Australia but not before hitting Dublin, Cork and Galway.
“I am an escape artist”, Jarlath says, “My aim is to bring people out for a night to forget about it all and escape all their worries. I just want people to laugh solidly for 90 minutes. There’s something in laughter that nourishes the soul. We crave it.”
An Overnight Success After 20 Years of Podcasting
Jarlath first burst into the public consciousness in 2023 when his Instagram and TikTok videos about Irish weddings, donating a kidney to his brother and strong Irish women blew up. Patrick Kielty dubbed him “A comedy master at work”. What people might not realize is that he had been performing standup since 2004 and making the chart topping interview podcast An Irishman Abroad. The iTunes award winning podcast saw him interview hundreds of the greatest Irish people ever including Mary Robinson, Gabriel Byrne, Paul Mescal, Boy George, Sharon Horgan, Ronan O’Gara and many many more. In 10 years of podcasting he never missed a single week. Now he’s applying that same work ethic to producing daily comedy that is helping all of us to get through those long work days.
A Brand-New Year, A Brand-New Show
Each year Jarlath promises his audience a brand-new show. He has made good on the promise for the last four years. Gas Man is the 2026 standup show and promises to be even funnier than his last record-breaking show In Bits. That show sold out tens of thousands of tickets including a whopping 5 straight nights at the 3Olympia. In fact, Jarlath’s residency at Dublin’s 3Olympia has now become a bit of a fixture in the comedy calendar.
Jarlath Regan’s brand new 2026 standup comedy show is packed to the gills with his unique brand of spot on observational standup material and ridiculous stories. We are all going to need a laugh in 2026 and Jarlath is here to deliver it. In this world of unending negativity, bleakness and cynicism there’s never been a better time to come out and escape from it all for a night of quality laughs courtesy of “the jewel in Ireland’s comedy crown” (The Examiner).
