Mark O'Donnell is a singer-songwriter from the small town of Glenties in Donegal, Ireland. With a sound shaped by modern influences like Lewis Capaldi, Noah Kahan and Myles Smith, Mark weaves raw emotion and storytelling into every performance. Music has been at the heart of Mark’s life from an early age. His mother enrolled him in piano lessons when he was just six years old. He later learned to play the fiddle during his time in primary school, before teaching himself guitar during the pandemic in 2020 — a turning point that reignited his passion for songwriting and stripped-back acoustic music.

Known for his ability to reimagine classic songs, Mark's cover of “You To Me Are Everything” by The Real Thing featured during an intimate first date scene on Love Island UK in 2022. In November 2021, he captured national attention with his rendition of Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark” on RTÉ's Last Singer Standing, earning a standing ovation from judges Nadine Coyle, Samantha Mumba, and Joey Fatone. 

On December 20th 2024, Mark released his debut EP if only i knew, a five-track project featuring original songs that explore grief, reflection, and emotional vulnerability. The title track was written in memory of a close friend of his brother who passed away by suicide, and has deeply resonated with listeners since its release. The EP also includes “3 years ago,” “say goodbye,” “falling,” and a stripped-back version of “say goodbye.”

Mark’s music continues to connect with audiences through his honesty, depth, and heartfelt delivery.
