Born in East London on New Year’s Eve, Gray was steeped in music from a young age, training in classical vocals before dropping out of college to chase her pop dreams. Written largely with legendary songwriter Justin Tranter and featuring collaborators like Sega Bodega, Uffie, and Alex Metric, Louder, Please draws inspiration from icons like Robyn, Madonna, and Kylie Minogue. After refining her sound with 2020 singles like “Same Cloud” and “Save Your Tears”—the latter named BBC Radio 1’s Tune of the Week—Gray quickly became a rising star.
