Today, multiplatinum chart–topping global pop powerhouse Zara Larsson kicks her boldest era yet into overdrive with the announcement of her heavily anticipated new album Midnight Sun, set for release on September 26.
The ten-track album is set to feature recent single ‘Pretty Ugly’ as well as brand-new single and title track “Midnight Sun,” which is set for release June 13.
With the news of Zara’s fourth international album, the superstar also announces her huge European arena tour for autumn – the first official leg of her Midnight Sun Tour. It will kick off in Munich, Germany on October 28th at Zenith Arena, after which Zara will go on to conquer London’s Wembley Arena on November 5th and Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome on the 12th, followed by a run of Nordic arenas culminating in a homecoming show at Avicii Arena in Stockholm, Sweden on November 28th.
Tickets go on pre-sale via Laylo on Wednesday, June 11th and general-sale on Friday, June 13th, 10am local time. Available HERE.
Created over the last year with frequent collaborator MNEK, alongside producer Margo XS and songwriter Helena Gao—Zara’s new album is a true tour-de-force, and her best work to date. Midnight Sun ripples with confidence. Its storytelling bursts with truth and vulnerability, plumbing the depth and growth of Zara’s artistry and journey over nearly 20 years in the public eye. It’s an album unafraid to show all sides of the 27-year-old: lovestruck, wistful, ambitious, cocky, flippant, and uncertain, often in the same breath. The story begins with ‘Midnight Sun’, the first song written for the album.
“In thinking about this album, I thought, ‘What do I want to say? What do I want this to be?’ I really am proud of my Swedish pop heritage, so I wanted to write about a Swedish summer where the sun never goes down,” says Zara. “And it doesn't matter if it's December: the summer night will be there for you. It's waiting for you, it will come back for you, and you will come back for it.”
Zara Larsson recently kicked off the new era with the confident and rowdy ‘Pretty Ugly’, alongside an incredible music video directed by Charlotte Rutherford (PinkPanthress, Charli XCX, Ashnniko), and choreographed by Zoi Tatopoulos (FKA Twigs). It’s fierce, feral, and completely unapologetic.
The European tour comes on the heels of Zara’s just-announced first-ever live dates in Australia and New Zealand for February 2026 with OneRepublic. Zara’s run of live shows in support of Midnight Sun officially kicks off with her opening slot on Tate McRae’s Miss Possessive Tour across North America, which begins on August 4th in Vancouver, BC, with stops along the way at major arenas like New York’s Madison Square Garden culminating in back-to-back shows at The Forum in Los Angeles on September 26 and 27, in line with the album release. Last year, she released her lauded album Venus — a powerful showcase of her elevated sound, eclectic style, and unifying vision. Not to mention, her single ‘Symphony’ with Clean Bandit repenetrated the culture with a boisterous meme moment that has helped the video achieve over 1.3 billion views, as the song topped the TikTok Billboard chart for several weeks. It’s kismet then that Midnight Sun channels the popstar at her most unfiltered and authentic. The album is her true essence, capturing lightning in a bottle in a way that only she can.
“It just feels like me—knowing myself, this album is just really, really me. And also,” says Zara, “No one can do me the way I can.”
