An americana-meets-garage-rock anthem, 'Two Cents' is the latest offering from Dublin's Big Sleep. Their first release of 2024, 'Two Cents' was recorded and produced by Chris Ryan (New Dad, Chalk, Just Mustard) in Start Together Studios, Belfast in December 2023. Mixed and mastered by Tone Def (Briston Maroney).

Quote about the song:

"We wrote 'Two Cents' just before we went on tour with our friends, Somebody's Child in February 2023. We got the chance to road test the song each night and the crowd reaction at those shows told us that we had something special. In 'Two Cents' we find that there's Americana/Country sounds shining through so we leaned into and got in touch with a Nashville-based producer called Tone Def to mix the track. Then we went up to Belfast to record with Chris Ryan in December 2023. His input really helped us capture the sounds and feel that this track had when we played it live which we knew we couldn't lose in the studio."

Since their debut EP release in June 2022, Big Sleep have toured around Europe, received regular international radio play and featured on heavyweight Spotify editorials like New Music Friday, The Other List, All New Rock to name a few. 2023 was a sell out year for the upcoming act who sold out headliners across Dublin, London and Berlinalongside festival appearances at All Together Now, Indiependence and Electric Picnic. The band also gained the accolade of one of RTÉ's Rising Artists of 2024. 

2024 is set to be an international breakout year for Big Sleep.
