East London born Jay Prince has received co-signs from the likes of Chance The Rapper and critical acclaim from Zane Lowe (Beats One) and Annie Mac (BBC Radio 1/1Xtra) for his music, which fuses silky smooth raps that touch on life experiences and opinions on social/cultural issues, with funky, feel good production. The 23-year-old rapper and producer, who’s sound has been described as “honeyed hip-hop, recall- ing the dawn of US sunshine rap” (PRS for Music), has received widespread support with the likes of The Fader, Hypetrak, XXL, Pigeons & Planes, MTV, Complex, Revolt, Red Bull Music, Noisey, NME & more supporting the releases, as well as heavy radio support across Radio 1 and 1Xtra.
MTV listed him as an artist on “The Brink” and Hypetrak tipped him as “One To Watch in 2016”, whilst XXL shortlisted him for the prestigious Freshmen 2016 alongside the likes of Bryson Tiller and An-derson Paak: one of few British names they've ever selected.
“This only is pure, quality, progressive rap at its finest. From the beat to the bars, everything is a single swing and a home run.” - Hypetrak
