Sungazer, led by bassist Adam Neely and drummer Shawn Crowder, is a modern avant-garde jazz fusion band formed in Brooklyn, New York, in July 2014.

Sungazer literally means “one who gazes at the sun,” and the name also appropriately reflects the qualities of their music – warm, positive, and undisciplined. Sungazer’s music combines elements such as hard jazz fusion, 8-bit, avant-garde rock and electronic dance music (EDM), and the band is committed to exploring the human elements of improvisation in the context of modern electronic music.
